On Friday, July 19, 2024, around 3am, the Department of Public Health (Department) became aware of reported IT failures affecting certain major computer systems at hospitals and other health care facilities throughout the Commonwealth. This outage is affecting multiple sectors, worldwide. According to the latest information from CrowdStrike, these technology issues resulting from a corrupted CrowdStrike update.
CrowdStrike has provided instructions on how to restore impacted Windows devices. These instructions are posted to all Significant Events boards in MDPH WebEOC. End users should consult with their IT department.
